At around a meter across, it hung above one of the most famous dance floors in the world, catching the lights over countless nights at 103 Gaunt Street.

The Box’s mirror balls turned above the dance floor for the fifteen years or so before the club’s thirty-fifth-anniversary refurbishment in January 2026, when the room was given a new lighting and video rig. They have been in the club’s storage since. “They’ve obviously had some amazing moments on the dance floor from all the incredible nights,” says club director Matt Long.

Few objects say “club” as clearly as a mirror ball, and this one comes from the room that defined London clubbing. It is a striking, highly displayable piece, equally at home in a venue, a studio, a home, or an exhibition.

Key details & collectability

Original mirror ball from the Box, Ministry of Sound

Large, approximately 1m in diameter

Hung above the main dance floor at 103 Gaunt Street until the January 2026 refurbishment

Companion to the smaller Box mirror ball, offered separately

Provenance

Consigned directly by Ministry of Sound, 103 Gaunt Street, London SE1

From the club’s own archive
