About Wax Poetics

Since 2001 Wax Poetics has been delivering deep-dive journals covering everything related to record collecting culture. Wax Poetics has now evolved into a premier music collectibles marketplace, connecting artists, collectors, and fans through rare and exclusive items. By bridging music storytelling with unique memorabilia and items, Wax Poetics continues to inspire fans to celebrate and preserve music culture

As we grow our operations and launch new collections, we’re looking for a multi-faceted, highly organized and proactive Collection Account Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of our artist-led auctions and brand projects — from early creative development through to shipping and fulfilment. This is a role at the heart of what we do and requires a ‘Swiss Army Knife’ candidate who is confident across all aspects of delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project & Client Management

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of each artist Collection or brand project — from onboarding to delivery
  • Act as the key liaison between Wax Poetics and the artist/brand/their team
  • Coordinate kick-off calls, timelines, and approvals
  • Ensure each drop is delivered on time, on budget
  • Keep everyone informed and aligned — internal teams, artists, contributors

Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with our creative team to shape the vision and structure of each Collection
  • Drive the gathering and organization of assets: product info, stories, artwork, images
  • Help define roll out plan, pricing strategy and product hierarchy
  • Coordinate with design, editorial, marketing and operations to bring each drop to life
  • Reporting on campaigns

Operational Execution

  • Track production timelines, artwork status, and deliverables
  • Manage and maintain artist-specific documents (pricing sheets, tracking docs, drop plans)
  • Ensure marketing campaigns are live
  • Liaise with fulfilment, inventory, and marketing teams to ensure everything is launch-ready
  • Problem-solve issues in real time and keep drops moving forward

Who You Are

  • 3-4 years experience managing complex artist or client projects
  • Highly organized, proactive, and confident managing complex timelines and people
  • A clear communicator who can balance creative relationships with operational rigor
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once
  • Comfortable leading projects independently
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Digital-first mindset
  • Passionate about music
  • Familiar with tools like Google Workspace (strong with spreadsheets and deck building)
  • Use of project management tools
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Embracing of change - we are a start-up and things change on a daily basis. If you’re looking for clear and steady, we are not the place for you ;-)
  • Based in Amsterdam — we work mostly remote, but we will aim to sit together twice per week

Bonus Points

  • Agency experience
  • Strong, global freelance network of contacts
  • Experience in music, tech or media
  • Experience with Meta Business, GA4, Google Ads

Details

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: 12-month, full-time freelance contract (with potential to extend)
  • Pay: €3,500 - €4,500 /month depending on experience
  • Location: Amsterdam
  • Reporting into the CEO

Why Join Us?

THE SPIRIT OF WAX POETICS

The young man on the right of this picture is called Hal. He is 22. He became aware of Wax Poetics through doing some casual shipping work with us. He was so inspired that whilst traveling to Japan he took his copy of Issue 8 featuring DJ Koco on the cover, hitchhiked to a DJ Koco gig on the other side of Japan and met the man himself, alone. This experience isn’t unusual for those that know us. This is the spirit of Wax Poetics.
