Original promotional poster for A Certain Ratio’s debut single, All Night Party / The Thin Boys (FAC 5), released on Factory Records in September 1979. Measuring 298 × 210 mm, this poster was created by Tony Wilson in his distinctive early collage style—constructed from cut-out images and handwritten speech bubbles before being run off on the Granada Television photocopiers, where Wilson worked as a presenter.

A vivid example of the DIY energy of early Factory design, these posters were often produced in tiny runs to advertise gigs and records around Manchester. As such, very few survive today. This particular poster ties directly to one of Factory’s earliest and most important releases, marking the label’s transition from club nights to a bona fide record company.
