Nashville-based photographer Michael Weintrob shot this photo of Bootsy—his head obscured by the Space Bass and his hands full of rubber hands—in Cincinnati in 2010 and, six years later, it landed on the cover of his book Instrumenthead, described as a “surrealist look into the soul of a musician.” This poster-sized, 36” x 48” artist proof is signed by both Bootsy, and the photographer.
