Beta Band Bundle 1: The Patty Patty Sound Production Archive
A comprehensive production archive documenting the creation, mastering and release of The Beta Band’s landmark 1998 EP The Patty Patty Sound.
Spanning multiple stages of the production process, the collection includes original mastering references from Whitfield Street Mastering Studios, production / mix DAT tapes carrying handwritten notes, promotional release formats and artwork connected to the EP’s release through Regal Recordings.
The materials provide a rare snapshot of the workflow behind one of the defining records of the late-1990s British alt-rock and experimental pop scene. Included are mastering and reference formats prepared during production, alongside promotional and commercial editions that trace the project from studio completion through to public release.
Featuring tracks including ‘Inner Meet Me’, ‘The House Song’, ‘The Monolith’ and ‘She’s The One’, The Patty Patty Sound helped establish The Beta Band’s reputation for blending folk, psychedelia, sampling and experimental production into a distinctive new sound that would become hugely influential on a generation of artists.
Together, these items form an unusually complete archive of the EP’s production history, preserving both the creative and technical stages of its journey from studio to release.
