Moog Sub Phatty Synthesizer with Custom 3024 Wooden Panels – Studio Used & Signed
A first-edition Moog Sub Phatty, customised with hand-finished wooden side panels, personally signed with "Martyn 3024" by the artist.
Released by Moog Music in 2013, the Sub Phatty was the brand's first synth to feature Moog's Multidrive circuit, a dual-stage distortion section that gave the instrument a grittier, more aggressive voice than its Little Phatty predecessor. Built around two variable-waveshape oscillators it was positioned as an accessible entry point into genuine Moog analog synthesis, and was prized by owners for its dense, punchy low end and studio-grade build quality. It quickly became a favourite among bass-focused producers for exactly the reasons that make it central to Martyn's own sound: gritty, characterful low end and immediate, tactile sound design.
This unit's custom wooden sides were commissioned specifically for Martyn's studio, replacing the synth's stock panels with a bespoke finish carrying his label's branding, a detail that ties it directly to his production setup.
